Ms. Watson is an absolute joy, lighting up smiles of students day in and out for over 20 years at the Golden Bear Cafe (UC Berkeley). Whenever I come to get a meal and no matter how long the line gets during lunch rush she always has time to wish me a good day and have a conversation. Compassionately referring to us as “sweeties” she is always the highlight of my day. Her colleagues agree that no matter how challenging the day gets, she always has a smile on her face and every student I have spoken with knows Ms. Watson for her kindness or knitted caps. We are so so lucky to have her and appreciate the kindness and joy she has brought to the UC Berkeley community for generations, it means so much. Her work represents the heart of UC Berkeley with care, connection, and community.
