Kindness as a form of treatment and cure for human needs
Nominator said: Mike Fein is a generous and kind man. I could go on and on about what his neighbors, family, and friends have to say about him, but, I will keep it brief and just mention a few things he tries to keep quiet about because Mike doesn’t care about the kudos. Mike takes an elderly neighbor’s dog on a walk every night because he doesn’t want her to trip in the dark. Mike is a medical doctor by trade but came out of his retirement (at 82 years old) to help during the Covid crisis and then realized he could continue to offer his services at a free clinic once a week. Mike started a foundation recently in his father’s name at a Southern California high school to offer underprivileged kids what they need to continue on at school. Mike is there for everyone that needs a hand. He is cheerful, friendly, and has an attitude of gratitude for all things in his life. Mike shared with me that he knew he wanted to become a doctor early on so he could help people. Mike gives to many organizations generously. Mike deserves this nomination. He is truly one of a kind.
